UP100H

Compact Ultrasonic Laboratory Device

The Hielscher UP100H is a compact yet powerful ultrasonic device designed for the processing of small and medium-sized laboratory samples. With 100W power and 30kHz frequency, it is ideal for applications such as emulsification, dispersion, dissolution, and cell disruption.

Key Features

Compact & Ergonomic Design – Weighing only 1.1kg, the UP100H is easy to handle manually or operate on a stand. The integrated generator and transducer eliminate the need for extra cables, ensuring a simple and efficient setup.

Versatile Applications – With the MS10 sonotrode (10mm diameter), the UP100H can process sample volumes of up to 500mL, making it ideal for:

  • Emulsification (mixing of immiscible liquids)
  • Dispersion (mixing powders into liquids)
  • Homogenization
  • Cell disruption, lysis, and extraction
  • Deagglomeration of nanomaterials
  • Degassing

Continuous Operation

In combination with the D7K flow cell, the UP100H allows for continuous ultrasonic processing at 10–100mL/min, making it suitable for simulating continuous sonication processes at a small scale. The device can run 24/7, processing up to 140 liters per day, depending on the application.

Feasibility Testing

The UP100H is commonly used for feasibility studies. A small sample volume (e.g., 5mL) is placed in a vial and exposed to intense sonication for an extended period. To prevent overheating, a water bath is recommended for cooling, allowing longer processing times (e.g., 20 minutes).
